Our rail projects principally relate to the infrastructure within depots and maintenance facilities and also building refurbishments at stations.

When oil storage regulations changed SDA were involved in a major project to redesign train fuelling systems at many facilities throughout Southern England. This included the introduction of electronic controls, modification of oil distribution pipelines, fuel oil pumping systems and storage facilities.

We have also undertaken or overseen the design of mechanical and electrical services to new communication rooms, new build maintenance depots and stations, station refurbishments, car park and public area lighting schemes and HV/LV electrical distribution systems across the UK.

Our staff are familiar with the Network Rail documentation and approval / compliance systems and processes for design work.
